PLYWOOD MATERIAL APPLICATION IN OFFICE FURNITURE

Plywood, also known as pressed wood board, is a term referring to thin wood sheets of the same size, stacked and pressed together in multiple layers and bonded with special adhesive. The difference between Plywood and industrial boards like MFC and MDF is that it consists of thin natural wood layers. Therefore, plywood has greater durability than other industrial board types. However, precisely because of the thin natural wood layer components, plywood has a quite high cost compared to conventional industrial board materials.

Plywood has many advantages so it is widely applied in office furniture:

  • Solid hardness thanks to thin wood layers with specialized adhesive base, helping prevent warping, cracking or deformation during production and use.
  • High moisture resistance
  • Natural wood quality helps plywood have good screw-holding ability
  • Environmentally friendly material and safe for use.

With the characteristics of high cost and the above advantages, plywood is often applied as table surfaces for meeting table and management desk products. It both enhances durability and increases aesthetics and luxury for the product.

Additionally, Plywood is also applied for drawer cabinets and filing cabinets in office spaces. The natural color of plywood suits many different spaces and interior styles, bringing an airy feeling to the office.
